Skully, by now, you have proven to yourself that you can quit smoking

Keep taking it day by day

This is most likely the toughest thing you'll ever do, and your strength in your success will inspire others

Keep up the good work!

DAY 4!!!! You're doing it!

My kids were really supportive when my husband and I quit....I was really inspired by their support and pride in being able to say "Mom quit smoking"

Keep up the good work!

good stuff...............perhaps you can do this.......
i smoked for 40 yr. and wanted to quit for 35 of them. Problem - enjoyed the darn things, mostly. somehow enjoyed smoke getting in my nose and eyes when working, burning things by accident, setting the couch on fire ( parents really pissed at that one, but they also smoked ) and enjoyed a smoke on the beach after a swim. and i looked cool smoking too...............i thought......
finally after bets and quit dates and resolutions and all the other lies and promises, one day found myself smoking in the cold garage again, not enjoying the taste, smell or cold, while my friends and wife were inside drinking and comfy and enjoying themselves, me dragging hard on the smoke so i can hurry and finish it and join my party again, knowing that on entry they will exclaim that i am stinking up the room again...........I butt it out 1/4 done. Then I said to myself "this is now smoking history", and quit then and there.
Since then i have not smoked, felt much better or different. There is more $ of course in my pocket and i spent that great savings on junk food and gained all kinds of unhealthy pounds of blubber ( which i expect will eventually come off ).
Not a major craving at all since quitting. In fact when i ran out of smokes when I was smoking the cravings and rolling of butts were stronger . Quitting the last time has been too easy. I think because i made up my mind, did not even thing smoking again was an option.

YOU CAN QUITE TOO!

Dentyne Ice Intense. Maybe this powerful gum will put a different taste in your mouth and just change your taste for a smoke??

Lots of very strong gum flavours out there right now...Dentyne Blast..cinnamon and icy mint. Wonder if that could be helpful? Sometimes helps when you are trying to break the need to EAT something! So might work for smokes as well.

Don't be too hard on yourself. This is a "life-altering" experience to break an addiction. People usually pay big money to re-route their cravings whether it be drugs, alcohol or food! Diet plans etc. All usually cost money to change mind over matter.

If you can do it totally on your own, then I admire your strength! If not, then it was simply an effort toward improvement that didn't turn out. Either way, the desire to be better is what's really important.

was a pretty rough day today, lots of urges. One of the worst things believe it or not is the no smoking signs all over the place, as soon as I see one I think of smoking.
