"Yes I do think this has got out of hand, it has shown the general public has no
concern or regards for the disabled/ handicapped.....they are mostly fakers, cheaters or liars."

What kind of ignorant statement is that supposed to be?

I stand by my comment in Part 1 Act One of Beer Store......which was...

"Not to belabor the point, but I think it matters not whether the handicapped spot is outside of a grocery store, pharmacy, doctor's office, department store....or adult video store. It's there to provide the disabled with the same opportunities that all others have....even buying a beer."

It means to me that the general public don't seem to have any sympathy for these people and they believe they should have no extra privelages......by the way I am not disabled, but was looking for comments re-the beer store, that's all....end of story......

how did you come to that conclusion?

what I find most interesting is you making such an ignorant statement and then the topic was closed.

I don't really think the topic was out of hand.. everyone has different opinions it's sad when people have opinions that aren't the majority they are silenced. What happened to healthy debates?

I don't think it was an ignorant statement, it's the feeling I get from reading the replies on this subject. I stand by what I said, in my view many people think the disabled are abusing the system or better yet they don't deserve the parking spots. I was not closing the topic, I, myself wanted to let it rest as it was getting heated up, that's all. We don't need this message board ending up Kwic's with alot of hot-heads who ended up being banned.

I don't understand why everyone has to tip-toe around here?

I'm not getting hot-headed about it, I just like to explain my side or my thoughts without getting locked out of a subject we are talking about that's all.

I agree that disabled parking should be readily available, but you also have to understand, there's not a big need for it when there is ALWAYS a free parking spot available at this particular beer store we are talking about, and people ready and willing to help you carry your beer out if you need them to...

And, if you are able to drink beer/alcohol, something which has been proven to be bad for you, you are able to push your wheelchair, walk your walker, or use your crutches or cane to get a couple extra feet to the store to buy it! Sorry if you think I sound ignorant or like an ass for saying that but it's true.
