Anyone else have to deal with these idiots?

I mean really... I have a $400 bill every month even though I pay upwards of $200 every month! And they have Bell Collections calling me like every other week trying to get me to pay the entire bill, but when I talked to the Exec Office they said I didn't have to.....

WOW

I hate bell....

What else is there out here? Nor-Del? I don't like their customer service either, I called once to get someone out here to hookup cable when we first moved out here and they just seemed like they could care less if they got our business or not.....

Are there ANY good providers for phone/internet/tv?? I don't need all on the same provider......gah....

We LOVE Distributel for long distance. $20 a month. Fax and everything! No hassles. Had it for years! USA and Canada both.

I used to use Bell for internet, satellite, cell and landline...after having to deal their
customer service dept. a few times I completely lost respect for them and have gotten rid of all
their services with the exception of the landline...they don't even have my long distance...That has
to be the worst customer service in the country
I use Amtelecom for internet...Starchoice for satellite and by giving Amtelecom my long distance
I save $10 on my Hi-Speed

If you have a $400.00 bill each month and pay $200.00 a month you are going in the hole by $200.00 a month. I see a little problem there.

Now sir, how on EARTH could I rack up a $400 dollar a month bill?

I meant they say I have a balance of $400 owing, payments received, $200, payments forward, $200 (this number magically appeared and even the bell cust service can't explain why its there), and then they add my next month on which is $200 almost, which they then want me to pay $400!

Craziness... I already paid $500 in Mar to try and clear this up and they still say I owe a ridiculous amount....

Sounds like when I cancelled my cell...they sent me a bill for $450....when I called they said
it was their error but the bill would still need to be paid and then I would have a credit for
the balance...I laughed at the person telling me this and told them to get the bill right or
they would get nothing...they got it right on the next try...about $50

I came home Friday and my wife was on the phone to one of the Bell CSRs . She basically told Bell what she thought of them. They had called asking why we had changed long distance providers and what really got the Mrs going was when they told her had we called Bell first they would have given us a better price. Whats up with that. Bell sucks BIG time.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one having a hassle with Bell. Got a phone bill for over $800 and almost had a heart attack. Then the phone calls began. I called several times to find out what the heck was going on. I couldn't understand most of what they were saying and clearly, they couldn't understand what I was saying. I had heard people say that when you deal with Bell everything is in India. I thought they were just joking. Now I know it's true. So starting Monday I will just have to keep trying until I get an operator that speaks without an accent. Soooo frustrating!

Sympatico is the same! My son changed over to Cogeco in Hamilton because he could not get someone who spoke English well enough to have a proper, problem-solving conversation! After spending an entire morning on the phone being passed from here to there to be put on hold for another interminable wait! Customer "service"...yup!

We changed from Bell to Cogeco about three years ago. Terrible time with Bell too. Our deleted messages would reappear....weeks later and be listed as "New"! This had been going on for several years and finally one day, I switched. Bell told me it was because we had too many phones in our house. Are you ready for the number of phones? TWO! Each time I called to complain (and they keep a history...I would just ask them to call it up and say the problem was the same), I was advised it would be corrected remotely or else have to pay a $75 charge for a technician to come into our home. As if I'd ever do that!!!
Since being with Cogeco, we had one problem. A technician was sent...polite, courteous, efficient, friendly and stayed until the situation was corrected. It turned out that a carpet tack had slighty gouged the cable cord causing us to lose connections both online and on the phone. It was replaced free (originally put in by Bell). Great service!
Our monthly charges are half the cost of Bell's with unlimited long distance. I had the Real Plan or something like that with Bell but my monthly Simoce bill was always double of my Burlington bill.

I don't have a long distance plan cause I don't use it that much, but when I do I use the 10-10-580 before I dial, very cheap too.
Can someone tell me more about Cogeco or where to look into it?

I have had nothing but excellent service from Bell...now Bell World is an entirely different matter. They are just an independent contractor though.

I have learned now though that if I want to do anything with my Bell Mobility plans to just contact Bell directly, they have no clue what they are talking about at Bell World.

Since buying my house 1.5 years ago I have lost my phone twice, no dial tone. I call get the guy in customer service across the water who has no clue what I am saying and always says its in my house. Teck comes out and I know not to let them in the house to check outside first cause once they cross the threshold it's 99.99
Both times it was outside!
What kills me is you call complaining and they try and sell you Symaptico or a cell or more phone services LOL

We have also had problems with Bell through the years. Last year it was after we moved from town into the country. Our phone number had to of course be changed, but then we started getting phone calls for some motor cycle repair shop. So called Bell, obviously it was a mistake on their end, they said they'd take care of it. It stopped for awhile, then it began again, so called them again. I spent 65 minutes on the phone, mostly on hold, and spoke to 5 different people, each time having to explain over again what my call was about. I was extremely frustrated by the end of that 65 minutes! I'm glad to read this posting as there are about 4 different companies that I'm now going to look into to change from Bell.

That happens sometime with recycled numbers..people still have them stored in their phones and don't realize that the place may no longer in business and that the number is transferred to someone else.

My understanding is that they wait 6 months and then re-activate the number for general use.

I had quite the coincidence with my new cell phone number. Apparently the number used to belong to my wife's cousin just a short time ago. It is funny to receive calls for her still, but at least I have the number to give the person calling so that they can actually get a hold of the person they were trying to call.

We are on our second round with Bell - between now and the first round, we were with Execulink and kwic.

I am much happier this time with Bell and have been with them since May 07. They have our cells, satellite, phone, and internet services. My only complaint is that they take up my time during the very few service calls, trying to sell extra services.
