| Our first tv was purchased in 1957 ish, a blonde cabinet black and white Philco I believe. Once in a while, we'd go to the Lindsay home at the corner of King and George Streets in Simcoe to watch 'something special' before we had our own. I dont' recall the programme, but I do remember a very crowded room with lots of people! A colour tv came along about 1972. | |

| Nobody's mentioned Howdy Dowdy or Maggie Muggins. I remember them vaguely. And in the cartoon characters there was Betty Boop. I spent years looking for a girl like her. | |

| Ding Dong School with Miss Frances, Mickey Mouse Club (loved all those stories with Annette in them), American Band Stand, Club 11, and what would Sunday be without Tiny Talent Time!! Saturday at 5 the Bugs Bunny Show and the Soupy Sales Show. My Mom watched Bishop Sheen every week too. Dinah Shore Show was always good too, "See the USA in a Chevrolet" then the she'd blow a kiss out to us all at the end of each show. Friday night was the Twilight Zone. | |

| I vaguely remember a kids show out of CKCO Kitchener with a big old portly guy dressed in cowboy gear....hat and all. it was on at mid day, as I recall and also.... I think a kids talent show. He called himself "Uncle......? somebody or other....With some title variation of ranch or coral. That's all i know and it goes way back. Anyone recall the show? I'll go crazy trying to remember this one. | |

Wasn't his name "Big Al" and it was Big Al's Ranch Party or something like that? I remember going to see him at the Civic Center in Brantford when I was only about 4 years old. He was so big I just cried I was so scared of him | |

| LOL man I feel something younge in this crowd ... I watched Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo, Pink Panther, The Flintstones... to name a few and those were "old" when I was watching them back in the 80's as a kid, and the funny thing now is that my son (almost 3) isn't interested in what passes for cartoons nowadays. He would rather watch what I watched. Good thing for Teletoon Retro | |
