| The only people that ever ride my back bumper are MEN! Sometimes I want to put a sticker on my car that says "You might as well ride in my trunk, you'll get there faster". Very seldom do I ever see a woman tailgate. | |

| I am sorry if I opened a gender issue here. Let's just forget about that part of my post. Do any of you notice how PEOPLE drive at full speed to the next car and then follow it too close, they don't pass, they just tailgate and then they just repeat it over and over. It is also seen in cities, the light turns green, full tilt boogy, just to slam on the brakes for the next light. | |

| When people let their car slow down when going up a hill. Example ... That hill on the Blueline past St. John's road. It's not uncommon for traffic to slow down to 50 - sometimes less. How someone can be that oblivious that they don't realize how much they have slowed down is beyond me. I've been tempted to put up a couple of signs at the side of the road ...
"You're Going Too Slow!"
"Put Your Foot Down!"
"Use Your Cruise Control"

| People who don't use cruise control and their speed fluctuates between 80 and 100. I average below 95 (cops don't bother you if you're less than 15 over) and it seems these people are often well ahead of me on passing areas, but as soon it's a corner, or there is a lot of oncoming traffic, they slow right down ... and I obviously can't I pass them during those times.
You burn so much gas in this scenario. I wish more people would use a cruise control.

| From back when I lived in Toronto - and now my son has noticed the same thing ... Chinese people who aggressively butt in front of you at a bus stop. They're like friggin' animals scrambling to get to the food bowl. | |

Chinese people who aggressively butt in front of you at a bus stop. They're like friggin' animals scrambling to get to the food bowl. That is a cultural issue. Head over to Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, or any other major city in Eastern and Southeast Asia and you'll notice that everyone pushes. It's just the way that their societal norms have developed over time. That's probably a result of having billions of people within an area less than that of Canada. Space is at a premium. So maybe you shouldn't compare people to animals before trying to understand their motivation. My pet peeve's: ignorance and intolerance.

I was reading reader digest wh8ile taking a dump the other day and there is this lady who wrote an entire article on how disgusting smoking is and how it sickens the world, that same lady after finishing her article hopped in her pollution mobile and smoked all the way home, I wiped my butt with her article.

My pet peeve's: ignorance and intolerance. Understand their motivation? Since when is being excessively rude and inconsiderate justifiable? My pet peeve: People who exhibit fake tolerance purely for the purpose of elevating one's self-worth and personal gratification.

| People who say :"I seen" and "We seen" instead of "I saw" and "We saw" ("I have seen" and "we have seen" is correct. This doesn't REALLY peeve me off...it's just the teacher coming out in me!)....and everyone who calls their kids "buddy." | |

I'm not a teacher, but i certainly agree with you. Also, double negatives, and "he/she/it don't" - it's he/she/it doesn't. And, also everyone who also calls their kids "bud"

Seriously? I think that's a very cool term of endearment. I believe a lot more dads are much closer to their kids these days than a generation ago. And I think the term "buddy" reflects that. I call my son that because he is my little buddy ... even though he is all grown up now.

| Would it be OK for a teacher to call a kid "buddy"? Would you be offended if your child's teacher referred to the child as "bud" or "buddy?" Do you want a teacher to be on a "buddy" level ...or do you expect a certain degree of formality? And a comfortable distance between teacher and student?
As a teacher, I would find it difficult to establish discipline and manage a classroom when I had 34 "buddies" in my space. And I feel the same way as a parent. "Buddy" suggests equality..but then, I am "old school." And way past 50!

That implies parents. I don't understand what teachers has to do with this. Although I don't mind when other people call my son buddy. It shows they care. I thing our two opinions is a matter of semantics.

I did tell the waitress who told her supervisor/owner but went back to the other side so never found out what happened. This person was from south of the border, up here working on a farm. Half the resteraunt was filled with these workers. I also talked to the gentleman who did this and he just gave me a funny look and kept on trucking up the line.

| With all due respect to anyone that may read this and has the following hairdo......partial ponytail ...long bangs over the eyes....side pieces of hair over the ears....there may be a name for this... i call it the britney Spiers rehab do.. Anyway, I see a lot of waitresses wearing this do. i really don't care what they wear on the street....but all that hair in that unkempt style while you're rushing around slinging other people's food...well it turns me off my food. Furthermore, there should be some restrictions regarding those type of dos in terms of sanitary, health issues. | |
