| For me it when people pump their own gas at the Pioneer gas bar in Delhi, go and pay..... leave their car there and walk over to pick up a Tim's coffee. Meanwhile cars are waiting. | |

| When people are exiting a parking lot or even making a left turn and they are too far over to the right so that people turning right cannot proceed! And have to wait for all the traffic to clear in both directions so this person can make his/her left turn.
I think it's just inexperienced drivers....but also when people sit at a red light with their right signal on but don't proceed when the way is clear..? They wait for the green light! Experienced drivers are aware of OTHER drivers as well as of themselves.
Cricket...Delhi will soon have a new Tim's...and hopefully, that won't be a problem anymore! I always wondered why they located the Tim Horton's there anyway! There' s no parking...and no big trucks could ever pull over at such a busy corner. And I think they need a lot more seating because it has become a gathering place for groups of seniors etc.....and that's a good thing!
The new location (old Wills' Motors) is a bit far from the centre of town for those who walk...but hey! You can have that double double with a donut and walk off those calories on the way home!
It's a good thing to see something getting BIGGER in Delhi...when some things are getting smaller to survive! Like DDSS high school...and the Catholic Church.
Seems odd though with the church to spend that much money making something smaller! I guess it's not just smaller....with the demolition of the 12 bedroom rectory, it's more efficient...with just an office and elevator and no bell tower and etc. There will be no priest's residence there as I understand it.

| The comment about people turning left and not leaving room for those who want to turn right is just so true. My daughter tells me that this has been taught in drivers ed to go over to the right more.I think of Timmys on the no.3 hwy they almost need to put some kind of arrows and yet for those turning into that street it is an issue. I find at busy times the hwy is brutal when you want to turn left. There have been times where I've gone down to the lights because the waiting is so long.I'm sure others have found this issue also | |

| Do you want my list in segments or all at once? LOL Pet Peeve #1 I cringe when I hear little children swear and not because they realize it, just something that they hear at home and use as part of every day language. My granchildren 7, 5, 4 years of age all say OH MY GOD. Well, when at my house I remind them that you say Oh my God when your are praying. If you say it anywhere else, you are swearing. It works....for about as long as their visit with me. But then, I don't like hearing adults swear in any shape or form either. | |

Bad manners seem to be the norm. Whatever happened to "Excuse Me" when you walk in front of someone? Whatever happened to covering your mouth when you yawn? I really don't want to see your tongue, tooth fillings or hear your special yawn song!! Nor do I think big burping is funny!

| People who meet up with someone they know and stand in the middle of the aisle in a store or the center of the sidewalk blocking it off and have a long long conversation, stopping the flow of traffic. I wish they would just step to one side and talk as long as they desired. The worst part is when you try to squeeze by " saying excuse me politely I might add" they act as if you are putting them out and that you should not need to go by...This drives me crazy...expecially when the sidewalks in Port Dover aren't that wide due to stores and cafes putting merchandise and tables on them, add a few strollers and a wheelchair and you have gridlock. I feel sorry for people pushing strollers or people with walkers or wheelchairs. | |

| Old people that don't say thanks when you hold the door open for them. My son held a door open for this old hag once and she never thanked him. He asked me why she was rude and I told him that she didn't have any manners. The woman turned and said that she earned the right to have the door open for her and that my son should thank her for the privelege. I turned to my son and said that she was off her meds and we kept going. | |

Telemarketing companies that auto-dial 20 phones when they only have 5 sales people. The first 5 people to answer get the pleasure of hearing the loser on the other end, resulting in the other 15 rushing to the phone only to hear dead air.

| People in cars who pull out from an intersection into your lane, right in front of you. You would think they are in a rush ... but they never are. Then they get pissed when I'm on their tail.
On a related note ... People who, when two lanes merge, rush to be the one in front, and then slow down (happened to me today).

Self-absorbed tools who leave their shopping cart in the middle of the aisle while they shop, forcing me to smash it the hell out of the way so I can get by. don't forget the self absorbed losers who wheel their shopping carts down the street, carrying their groceries. They also use the same shopping carts to wheel around flyers and kids, then abandon them (the shopping carts) where ever. Simcoe must the world capital for shopping cart theft, per capita.

| I experience the elderly who have no manners a lot. Its weird, one would think they be the most polite of all having grown up well mannered and teaching their kids manners. I know most kids now a days do not have manners and it's a change for me to see a kid who has manners.
this usually happens at the malls, I always hold the door open for some one that's coming up to it and then I usually end up holding it for a line of people because they choose to go through the door I am holding open, I cant just let it go because it might hit someone. I find the first couple of people that go through do not say thank you but the first person that does say it everyone behind them that hears them says it too and not very often does someone hold open the second door for me or take the one I'm holding.
I hate it when the off shore workers come to town thinking every girl they see is a prostitute no matter their age.
I hate it when I'm driving down the highway and the person in front of me does 80 on the button and few miles later they are doing 100 then few miles later they are back down to 80.
I hate it when someone pulls out in front of me then I almost rear-end them when they could have waited for me to go by because there was absolutely NO cars behind me.
I hate it when people throw garbage on the ground when they are well with in walking distance of a garbage can.
I hate it when people think animals have no feelings.
oh theres probably more but I can't think of them.

| People who say "off of". It is just OFF. Well, it may not peeve me off but I certainly do cringe. I see it in books and I have heard it from newscasters and on tv shows. How do I get this off my mind...not off of my mind! | |

I think, technically, you are correct (I had to Google it to find out for sure). But ... "How do I get you out my mind" ... just doesn't work. But on the other hand, nether does ... "I got you on of my mind" The English language is sometimes very confusing to me (and that's the only language I speak). This one is like finger nails on a blackboard to me ... Can I get youse anything else? Also, I hate it when people say irregardless. It's just regardless!

| irregardless instead of regardless people who don't finish words like fiel instead of field. ain't people who always think they know more than you. TELEMARKETERS my brother once told a telemarketer he didn't want what they were selling but, offered to sell them his car. They said that they couldn't buy his car and my brother said "why not, it's a good car. It never breaks down. Why don't you want my car? What's wrong with my car?" The telemarketer eventually hung up. | |

| I get really upset by a new style of driving that is becoming more and more common. It seems to be worse with young drivers and women. It is also very bad for gas milage and wear and tear on the vehicle. It seems that the idea is to floor the gas and drive as fast as possible to the next vehicle, then follow it three feet from the back bumper. When that vehicle turns the driver then guns it at full speed up to the next vehicle. I see it on the highways, I see it in the city. I see it small towns. These drivers are in such a hurry! I wish they would all just slow down a bit. | |
