I cannot believe what I just saw!

The cook in question had a bad injury to her foot making it impossible to wear shoes for a little while. I can assure you she normally wears closed shoes as that is the Barrel's policy. They are a very clean and health conscious restaurant and the owners take pride in always following health codes and keeping the restaurant clean. They have strict policies in place regarding uniform and cleanliness. I hope this little incident will not stop people from eating at one of the best restaurants in the area. I am sure the owners will be interested in knowing about the concerns of the original poster of this topic and I will be sure to let him know about your concerns. Just be sure that this is not a practice of the Barrel and that it will not be forever. she will have shoes on again as soon as her injury heals.
