New research with hundreds of subjects show that people who are obese...or overweight by 30 pounds or more with a BMI or 30 or more...need 55 minutes of exercise per day, 5 days a week...not just 30 minutes three times a week as previously believed. They have found that little weight loss will occur if workouts are below this level.
Also, here's something else for those of you who can't lose weight easily and have a "tummy pillow" that won't go away in spite of your efforts. The build- up of cortisol, the stress hormone, causes belly fat to accumulate. Too much stress keeps the body fat in the mid-region...
