TV Westerns You've Long Forgotten....with their theme songs!!

I happened across this site by accident, but what a trip down memory lane. Westerns were the most popular type of TV show at one time. Remember Sugar Foot, Bronco, Wanted Dead or Alive, Maverick, Gunsmoke...and the list goes on. The real kicker is how familiar these theme songs are when you hear them again. The original Maverick with James Garner and Jack Kelly, great show, the resurection series in the 80 was a good try, the movie with Mel Gibson was OK too.

I watched The Rifleman faithfully every week.

I remember as a kid watching rin tin tin . I also remember having to open a window and pull on a pipe to turn the pole that held our antenna . I was the youngest and that was my job .I was sort of a human remote control because my parents always told me to switch the channels...after all we had 6 to choose from

I can remember going across the garden every Sunday night to watch Roy and Dale at my grandmas's house. Happy trails to you...until we meet again....and saturday afternoons I think it was channel 13 (Kitchener) that usually had a Roy Rogers western on and then at 5:00 it was Bugs Bunny. (Grandma got a new RCA and we got the old one, by the way a friend now has that T.V. and it still works)
