We LOVED this place today. Cost us $11. to get in. Me and my car for $8.40. The 8 year old cost $3 and the 4 year old for free.
We were there for about 3 hours!

This park had a huge play equipment structure....handmade by some creative welder!! It's not your usual schoolyard stuff! And it went on forever! Highs and lows and firepoles to slide . All bright and clean and painted well. And catwalks and a wall of climbing tires and swinging barrels to crawl through! So creative and STURDY! There's a maze with rooms and an upper maze like the deck of a ship! And it's all interconnected. I could just imagine this in a schoolyard!

The beach area is small but CLEAN..and NO CHLORINE!! The kids loved the beach area. It has buoys around the area from 0 to 4 feet. Take your tubes and shovels as there IS a sand beach and lots of willow trees to create shade. And about 12 picnic tables near the beach.

It's a trailer park, really. You can rent a golfcart if you want. Big pavilion with a roof for a picnic lunch! Their food at the snack bar was only so-so.

They have a life guard from noon on. There's a diving board in the deeper area and in the deepest area...there's a water swing. That's a big crane-type structure and platform and a rope/cable thing. And you swing out on it..and let go and fall into the deep water! Oh, my! We did not see anyone using it!

There's a snack bar and washrooms/changerooms and they have movies for the kids on Fri nights. It was all very clean and good.

Some people stay for a month or more! All summer! And they have BINGO Friday nights and sometimes musicians. Very simple. Very country. Very down home.

We will SURELY go again! How could I miss this Norfolk jewel??
