Civic Holiday

How many of you are getting the Civic Holiday next Monday off or do you have to work because we got Family Day off in February. I guess it will be up to your employer whether to give it off. Personally you can scrap the Feb holiday and pay me for one in August . I think it was a dumb idea from the get go.

I think it's OK to have a holiday in Feb as the winter gets to me sometimes. The only thing is.....everyone should have the holiday.

Forget the day off in February, I would rather have Civic holiday. We don't have Civic off any longer because it isn't government sanctioned. I have to use a vacation day now to have the day off.

It would suck to lose the holiday in August...we are lucky enough to have them both

Workin, but get a lieu day...I don't get very many holidays...unless a day off falls on a holiday...I work for a states based company

Try shoveling snow for 6 weeks straight and then come and tell me I don't need a day off in February! I get both holidays off. Actually because I'll be starting my vacation I get an extra day because I'm not using a vacation day on the Monday. Plan on using it either in December or March.
