I went to Zehrs today to pick up a few items . This must drive managment nuts . In the ice cream coolers I found a four pack of hamburger patties, in the deoderant section I found a loaf of bread stuffed on the shelf and over by the bread I saw a pair of underwear. Do people intentionally do this or are they to lazy to put the item back . I'm sure Zehrs pays employees just to straighten up after the idiots who do this. Now that I'm on a rant how about people who sample the food as they shop i.e. grapes ,candies etc . scratch

It is the hugeness of the store. Takes five minutes to walk back where you bought something. Much easier to drop it where you stand. An employee will put it back where it belongs. Twisted Evil
Joking.

I have seen the same thing, items dropped somewhere by someone who can't a take a minute to return it. Their time is too important I guess.

A lot of times, people have kids with them...or the kids pick up the item..and then they realize it's in the cart. Or they changed their mind..or can't afford it. I don't find it to be a big deal. Salespeople aren't busy all the time...and it's no big deal to reshelf an item.

I too think that it is a little rude just to drop an item where it does not belong, especially when it is something that spoils. The exception is when the store itself 'baits' is customers by putting different brands of a similar product in different locations. If I pick up the more expensive one and then find a better deal in another location, I have no problem just leaving my first pick behind.

What really does tick me off at the grocery store (especially Zehrs) is those @#$*&^ handicapped drivers who leave their shopping baskets in the parking stall when they are done shopping. If you can haul your ass out of the house and into a car and you can drive the car to the store, get out of the car and do your own shopping, you can damn well return the cart to the corral or another safe location. There is NO excuse for just leaving it in the parking space.

BTW, I'm handicapped so I can say that with impunity.

Wombat I agree with you but all shoppers who leave their carts everywhere are lazy asses .I think a system of a toonie for a cart which is returned when you bring the cart back would stop that.

Not all those carts are left by disabled people...Some are left there by kids wanting to run
them back to the store and don't make it to the doors...Some are left by people who aren't
disabled either...They think it's a corral...I've seen this happen at Zehr's numerous times

What I find disturbing is people that open jars in the store. Thank goodness most jars have the plastic rim aroung the cap now. I've seen people open jars smell the contents and then put it back on the shelve. Whats the big deal about walking an item back to where you got it? Exersice will do us all good. Yes, kids put things in carts, almost ended up with a pair of mens flannel PJ's once because my (the time) 3 years liked the colour! If you decide you don't want something leave it at the check-out.
