It's the most exciting day of the whole year.
The kids get the day off school. We take the day off work.
It's like one big community party.
I've talked to waitresses at local restaurants and they say it's the best day of the year to work. The folks are pleasant, funny, patient and great tippers.
Everyone seems to have company for the day. It's just great.
Tomorrow morning anyone driving through town, who didn't know what was going on the previous day, will have no idea that the town's biker rally ever existed!!
Just ignore the loud noises.
After all it's only one day.

Although I consider myself more a Vittoria folk the rolling thunder of those that stayed the night is still going by right now. So that would be Thursday, Friday and Saturday what will the sticks in the mud have to say about this event morphing into a long weekend?

Sometimes being deaf has its benefits! Take out the hearing aids...and peace and quiet! No dogs barking...no street traffic...no thunder...no loud music next door. A blessing! HAHAHA!

They came they partied and they left. A good time I believe was had by all. Even the thunderstorm didn't bother the hearty of soul. I live 2 blocks west of the High School and I have only 2 complaints. The stupid helicopter ( what good is that for?) and on Thursday night the band at Angelos could be heard as far as our place, I feel for the people who had to work as the band was way to loud. Other than that life was back to normal on Saturday

My sisters where down there yesterday. One was working with the group handling the parking and the other working at a booth (fund raisier for group). Lots of people everyone having a good time and no trouble. Promised to help out then I retire in a couple of years. News this a.m. said about 4 million spent in Norfolk yesterday. Good for us!
