Big Guy printed this on the kwic site:
From the CD98.9 NEWSCENTRE
”A report tabled at Norfolk General Hospitals Board meeting yesterday is calling for the removal of a Paging tower located on top of the facility. Several adverse health effects of electromagnetic fields were presented, notably studies that have found increased risks of cancer associated with exposure to these fields. The report was given by PHD student in Applied Health Sciences at Western University Anca Gaston. She says patients and staff at the hospital, and nearby neighbors should be concerned. For now, the tower stays, but the hospital board has agreed to investigate the matter further. It is worth noting the paging tower is in compliance with Health Canada's Safety Code 6.”
I do hope that Ms Gaston’s PHD does not depend on some Norfolk institution eventually accepting her questionable arguments. I still do not understand why she is not in Ottawa lecturing Health Canada to change their code. While I do commend her on her obvious dedication to her cause at some point she must realize that the premise of her application for a doctorate is faulty.
But, that is the nature of our democracy. Everyone has the freedom to present their arguments to anybody else who will listen.
Canada, what a wonderful place to live.
Ms Gaston keeps real busy with this stuff. Check out this link where she slams the county pretty good...
