| I know there is a new bowling alley coming to Simcoe and that it's supposed to be really something with mini-golf, video games and the works. Does anyone know when it will open? I haven't seen anything new in the paper or on CD98. Leasa | |

| Yes it's been open for over a month. My son has been there twice to play glow in the dark mini golf. | |

| Question. Just where is this new bowling alley please? It sounds like a lot of fun and we might just have to go and try it out for ourselves. | |

| On the same street as Rona in Simcoe , just east of there. - WetNozez wrote:

| I'm just wondering where the media was on this? A decent bowling alley with all this one seems to offer is a big deal for Simcoe. I know when the Strand opened they had loads and loads of stories and coverage. My staff was asking yesterday when this bowling alley was opening...very few people know it's been open at all. | It would seem to me that they did pretty good with the Big Bros Big Sis Bowlathon since it was the first big event scheduled for the new Whitehorse Bowling and then had to be delayed due to construction delays it got some pretty good press, twice.
They are a private business but if they send out a press release, the local media usually covers it pretty good but it's up to them to let the media know. Strange that I haven't seen any ads about it though. What no marketing budget to go with the construction budget?

| Our family has been there a few times now. Its a great night out. The lanes are great, pool tables are cheap, music selection is very diverse. I just hope that the kids (and parents) appreciate and respect what this place represents money wise. Things aren't cheap to fix or replace. My only concern is the kids get into the mini putt and act like a bunch of heathens. We are talking 12 - 18 yr olds ... who know better! Please grow up and be respectful of the establishment. | |

| Same group of kids who were allowed to trash the old Strand. The management has to deal with disrespect and vandalism. There has to be some form of control and response to misbehaviour. I notice the new Strand is doing very well in that regard. No nonsense going on there now! | |

| Thank you Jonas for the location info! Does anyone know their hours of operation? If not I suppose I can swing by that way, their hours must be posted on the front door. | |

| Maybe the same group of kids .. but there were adults poking at the structures in the mini putt room (obviously old enough to know better).
"Policing" may be one thing .. but how bout some good old common sense & respect? Is that a thing of the past?

| Yes, it appears that it is a thing of the past. And sometimes, a point just has to be made. And stated clearly. Especially in a case where you are the owner of the facility. And these are customers.
Some people want to just push things as far as they can. An attitude one sees more often these days. Perhaps because our laws are so lax. And it is so costly to pursue damages.
Perhaps like shoplifting...owners have to be assertive enough to ban the perpetrators from their facility.
