| I've learned I've got to say NO more often! But it's hard. I love to help a certain neighbour but lately she is taking extreme advantage of my generousity and I'm becoming resentful. I've learned that a heart attack can happen to anyone (a 52 year old in great shape friend). I've learned that I'm doing more walking with the gas prices so high. I don't have to drive as much and so I'm not. My way of boycotting the high prices. | |

| I've been reminded of my own immortality and life's precious nature....3 friends dying in a month before their time. I've learned my senior neighbors are getting ripped off by people charging exhorbitant fees for their services.....landscapers trimming bushes etc.....shameful.....so called reputable people, I might add. I've learned I won't be able to work as hard at maintaining my property/grounds etc. ....downsizing and moving plans should be a priority. I've learned most people experience their share of life's problems and tragedies, but attitude is everything. I've learned there are generous people on this forum. | |

| Jonas....a word about downsizing. I did exactly that and I can't say that I love all aspects of it. My gardens in the new house look nice, but in my former extra big backyard, my gardens looked amazing! I had more room for outdoor entertaining and privacy (well, except for one nosey neighbour....LOL) Our home is smaller which is wonderful for less housework but again, less room for entertaining on the scale I used to do. But then, it's all around less work with a smaller house and yard. Do I regret the downsizing? Not really, but there are some things that took getting used to. Just something to think about. | |

| I've learned that it is going to be 100F in Vegas tomorrow and that I will probably do more swimming there than I did in my own back yard this past summer.
I've learned that my daughter was told by the two teachers is is doing her practice teaching with that she "is a natural teacher" and that makes me very happy.
I want to learn that my daughter will have more patience with her parents now that she is learning to have patience with the students she is teaching.

| I have learned this week that I'm going to be a grandma again twice. *s*
I helped with a funeral luncheon today and it felt good to be helpful.
My grandson has been to school two days so far, he's four and he talks non stop about how much fun he's having. It's a joy to listen to him.

| I've learned that it's that time when we won't see so much daylight anymore. In the summer it was bright by 5:30am and now it's 7 before its daylight. This means it's almost winter yuk! I drive and do shift work so ther's a dread I've learned this week that EHarmony does work....Exciting | |

| I've learned that Simcoe can be a wonderful place to live. That when a tragedy hits a family that neighbours, friends and family are ready and willing to help. Thanks to all those that have expressed sympathy to my family this week, to all those that brought food and comfort to our families at this time. | |

I'm sure there is women out there that wished they would considering the lengths at which some men go to in order to control their exes and use the children as pawns (and yes, I am aware women do this too) back on topic.. I've learned people will try anything in order to not be accountable for their actions
