2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda
3 Bananas
3 Tbs. Milk
1/2 Cup Oil
2 Eggs
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Method:
Mix all ingredients well, and pour into bread pans.
Bake 350 F, for 1 hour or until done.

These recipe has been in my family for years, at least 35 - 40, and it's a very big hit. My dad takes the bananas out of will put fruit cocktail and the juice in. He will leave it out on the stove top uncovered and it is still moist by the end of the week.
I usually make these into muffins and the freeze well, you can eat them right out of the freezer.

Did up your receipe today, and am afraid after cutting a piece for my husband, it isn't going to last very long!! Because there are just the two of us, instead of using one loaf pan, I split the batter between two smaller ones, adjusting the cooking time. Now I hope I'll have one loaf for the freezer to serve at another time. Excellent receipe!
When using this for muffins, how long would you bake them..about 20 minutes or so?

You are right, it does not last long when you make that first cut into the loaf of banana bread.
In our house it last about 3 hours.

When making it in muffins I bake them 30 minutes. They are nice and golden brown, and you don't even have to pook them with a tooth pick to test for doneness.
