Huge ice sheet breaks loose in Canadian arctic

Yes, I was reading that the famed Northwest Passage is now free and clear of ice...and ships are for the first time able to sail, for example, across the top of the world! Never before.

Explorers died trapped in the ice trying to reach the east by going west! Within a decade, they believe that ships will sail right over the top of the North Pole with ease. No ice sheet at all!

Polar bears are drowning trying to swim 650 km to the nearest ice floe or ice sheet. I think they are on the way to extinction....sad to say. The world is undergoing serious changes! Will we survive???

Im gonna dig and build a bunker 25 miles into the ground and give access to only the sexiest women on the planet. That way when the world ends it will be just me and the worlds top 100 women left to rebuild man kind

Honestly though with ice melting it will probably just lead to us discovering all kinds of new stuff we never new exsisted and allow us to live another kazillion years

OR it will release all kinds of viruses and bacteria which have lain dormant for millions of years frozen in the ice sheet! Black Death and all that....ya never know!

Climate is about change. The world has been lot's warmer (fossils near both poles) and lot's colder (many, many, many ice ages). There were hippos in the Thames and 100 years later it was under ice. Glaciation can come fast. There are just as many arguments against global warming as for it. You just don't get grants and headlines saying so. Honestly, with populations exploding all around the globe we could use a few more acres "up north" growing wheat. You don't get elected saying "lets see".
