House Fire

Hello Simconians....Heard you had a house fire at 12 Richard Ave....not far away from a couple of our posters. Sure hope no one was injured. Cause unknown at this time.

It was right behind me! The smoke was black as black could be and it smelled very bad. We have heard one blew up and the houses on either side were damaged also. I went and had a look the one house is pretty bad along with their car. I didnt hear an explosion so dont know if its true or not. One gentleman is burned, so say a prayer for him!

Thanks for posting the link to the pictures. Pretty scarey and obviously a major fire. I wish the people involved courage and strength to deal with this tragedy.

I feel very sorry for the man that was burned. I was told by someone that saw him that his hands and arms took the worst of it. I hope he makes a full recovery.

I was just at the fire scene in the last few minutes and Livingstone's are there with the equipment to tear the house down once the fire department finishes inspecting it. Two firemen were in the house doing a final walk thru when I was there. Several Police Officers were also on the scene as of 2:30 p.m. today. Not sure why but I guess for crowd control, although there were only about 30 onlookers when I was there.

The house to the immediate north also has some fire damage. There was a tarp on it's roof -- apparently covering a hole.

I couldn't do any worse than the current news director at the radio station. She must not have much faith in her reporters since she sent two to the fire scene at the same time yesterday. Couldn't miss them in their CD98.9 shirts.

They didn't knock down the entire house after all. They tore off the carport and took off the entire roof. All that's left is the brick walls and the basement.
Still four or five Police Officers guarding the remains tonight.

How is the gentleman who lived in the house? Any cause of the explosion mentioned yet? I heard it may have had something to do with a car in the driveway.

rumours right now say propane tank but nothing comfirmed yet!
