| Anyone know who won the Cow Paddy Bingo or the Duck Race? They never seem to announce the winners in the Simcoe Reformer. Last year my son-in-law won the Cow Paddy Bingo. They weren't there during the "plop", and only found out from a friend about a week later. They actually had to call the Rotary Club and ask if they had won. Then, it took quite a while to get the $800 cheque. You would have thought they would have been called within a day or so. I had tickets on both the Cow Paddy Bingo and the Duck Race. Just curious...anyone know who won, or what square or ticket #? | |

| I didn't have tickets on these races this year, but I would expect, and like to see the names of the winners posted as well. All other community draws etc, seem to post names of winners in the local paper. | |

| You tease me, Jonas! Basically, you buy...not a vowel...but a square on the field in which the bovine evacuates its bowels. Simple enough concept.
Did you buy a square, Jonas?

| I reallllllly don't want to visualize YOU filling in on the field for the bovine! Not this morning over my coffee anyway.
There actually WAS a news article in the Reformer about the Friendship Festival..remember the little boy with the bubbles floating around him on the front page? But no results of any of these contests! No response yet from the Rotarians.....

| Thanks for your enquiry. I have forwarded your question to the appropriate people .Although I do not know the names, I do know both winners were contacted the day of the event and arrangements made for receiving their winnings. This is Rotary’s 3rd year rebuilding the Festival and each year we learn things we can improve on next year. I will add announcement of winners to the list for our Promotions Director for next Year. I would hope in general the talk on the messageboard is about all the improvements in the Festival in the last 3 years. Festival and Events Ontario awarded The Simcoe Rotary Friendship Festival status as 1 of the top 100 Festivals in Ontario in 2008.
Always happy to hear your thoughts and ideas. Please send any future enquiries etc to our Administrator at info@simcoerotaryfriendshipfestival.com .
Thanks

| Well if they can't be bothered to broadcast the winners, I won't be bothered to buy a ticket next year. What about the duck race???? I thought it was law to publish winners names in these kind of draws. | |
