Had a mouse problem in the garage this winter so I set out warfrin blocks to get rid of them but just the other day the dog came in the house with some blue on its teeth, she found a block and ate it. I rushed to the vet and $250 later and $200 follow up medication she is doing well My lesson is learned and mouse traps are now replacing the poison
I hate cleaning mouse traps but would not know what I would do without our dog

My husky did a similar thing and ate a block of the pinkish mouse poison in my shop. I brought her to the vet in Hagersville. They gave me a large syringe that I was to fill with hydrogen peroxide and squirt down her throat. It didn't take long until she threw it all up. We did it a second and third time to be safe, as per the doctors orders, and she has been fine ever since. Cost:$4.

Also beware of your pets getting into any amount of anti-freeze! Our dog drank from a puddle that anti-freeze had dripped into. Not fun. He spent 4 days in the hospital and was hooked up to an I.V. etc, cost was just over $1,000 to save him but worth every penny. But we may still lose him early due to the damage it most likely done to his kidney's. We take him for yearly tests and so far so good, but only time will tell. Turkey-Vegas I'm happy you had a very happy ending sunny
