Misunderstand post.

Democracy is: freedom of political expression, freedom of speech and freedom of press.

I am referring to the political section so everyone knows.

Personal attacks are bad, when you go into politics you have no personal life it is now public.

OK, seems like I've missed something again!!! A few weeks/months ago it was a disagreement between to of the posters, one bailed. And it seems that I've missed something here too. Can anyone explain without getting themselves in trouble?

A long time ago someone told me that the 2 topics never to be brought up in polite company are Politics and Religion because things can become VERY unpolite quickly.

Yes, but open discussion is how we learn. Unfortunately, politics forums on websites only serve one purpose, and that is to try and convince everyone else that you are right and they are wrong. So the spirit of open-minded discussion is lost.

If someone wants to talk politics, they can create their own separate public message board for that purpose. There's no reason it has to be part of the new Norfolk forum.
